36 W 4th St Search Warrant and Drug Arrests

City of Dunkirk Police, in conjunction with the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, successfully concluded a lengthy investigation into the manufacturing and sale of methamphetamine and the sale of heroin at a W. Fourth St. residence Thursday afternoon with the arrest of 9 individuals.
Just before 4:00 PM on March 24th, 2016, officers from the Dunkirk Police Department Special Response Team (SRT), DPD Detective Bureau, the 3-11 Shift Patrol Officers, 11-7 Shift Patrol Officers, DPD K-9 Unit and agents of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task force converged on the residence armed with a search warrant and battering rams. During the raid, 8 individuals were found in the residence along with quantities of materials and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine, as well as scales, packaging materials and evidence of heroin and methamphetamine use. All were charged with Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony. The actual occupants of the apartment were also charged with Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material for exposing the general public to toxic materials that result from methamphetamine production, which they disposed of unsafely. Several of the individuals were also charged with counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree for quantities of narcotic drugs that were found on their persons.
Among the items seized were quantities of heroin, hydrocodone, assorted other controlled substance pills, hypodermic needles, drug packaging materials, scales, precursors of methamphetamine, chemical reagents, solvents and toxic waste byproducts.
A ninth individual, Brian Lidlow, was placed under arrest on multiple outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants from the Village of Fredonia and the Town of Orchard Park when he called, then showed up at the residence to buy drugs while officers were executing the warrant.

Frederick H. Gutekunst, 24, of West Fourth Street in Dunkirk is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory material.

Robert J. Kaczor Sr., 45, of West Fourth Street in Dunkirk is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, seventh-degree criminal possession on a controlled substance and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory material.

Robert J. Kaczor Jr., 21, of West Fourth Street in Dunkirk is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory material.

Sean P. Korzenski, 22, of East Main Road in Dunkirk is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Sean Henry, 36, of Angell Road in Silver Creek is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Aron Sikes, 22, of Howard Street in Fredonia is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Wendy S. Kaczor, 44, of West Fourth Street in Dunkirk is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory material, and four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Shelby L. Esperson, 19, of West Fourth Street in Dunkirk, is being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory material.
